Skiing in Vienna

The Alps are Europe’s major range of mountains, spanning from the Mediterranean coast of France via Switzerland, Norhtern Italy and Austria to Slovenia.   Did you know that Vienna is the only capital in the world that has seen a FIS World Cup Race within ist city borders? "Hohe Wand-Wiese" is located on the outskirts of Vienna in picturesque Mauerbach on the slopes of the Wienerwald.  



Zau(:ber:)g Hirschenkogel

  Hirschenkogel is proud of its well-cared for slopes, 3 of them capable of hosting FIS-World Cup races. It is also the largest late night skiing resort in Austria: 6 of its slopes and the fun park are well lit and allow for night time skiing.  




  19 km of beautifully prepared slopes, cross-country skiing tracks and a Snowpark for boarders await you in the skiing region Ötscher, situated just 150 km from Vienna at an elevation of 810 – 1893 m.  



Semmering / Stuhleck

  Stuhleck/Semmering offers 24 km of pistes for all levels of difficulty, 10 skiing lifts – among them Austria’s longest chair lift – and a snowboarding fun park at just 1 ½ hours’ train journey from Vienna!  




  In Gastein you can experience a piste world of superlatives: Extensive ski areas with modern lift facilities up to an altitude of 2700 meters.
