Wiesen is a smallish city with some 3000 inhabitants and situated
about 60 km south of Vienna. 'Wiesen', the festival, is not
an event, its an institution. From June to end of August numerous
festivals, concerts and events take place ranging from jazz,
rock, pop, hip hop and reggae.
Open-air, camping facilities, inspirational surroundings and
a celebrating crowd meet world-class artists of all genres of
popular music. Some examples: Marilyn Manson, Underworld, Tricky,
Guano Apes, The Cardigans, Calexico, The Roots, Kosheen, Marla
Glen, Diana Krall, Isaac Hayes, Gotan Project and many more
have all been to Wiesen over the years!
